Description
Dungeons and Dragons is a high fantasy table-top role-playing game where students can create a fictional character and go on magical and mystical adventures planned by the Dungeon Master (lead storyteller/adventure planner). Students will have to use storytelling, imagination, problem solving, and collaboration skills to solve puzzles, battle magical foes, complete quests, and more; the possibilities are endless!

Students will be able to receive one-on-one assistance in their ELD core classes or any other class they are struggling in or want to learn more about. The teacher will be able to give specific strategies and shelter the instruction to help each student at their level and in their native language if possible.

Description
Boost your brainpower with logic puzzles and games. We will work on critical thinking and problem solving skills by playing strategy games and logic puzzles. Solving puzzles helps us: make predictions test options and then… revise our thinking use the process of elimination We will look at how a ‘yes’ for one part of the puzzle means a ‘no’ for another part of the puzzle….which leads them on the path to the correct solution. Put your thinking caps on and be ready for a challenge.

We have partnered with the Independence Animal Shelter to offer a course to middle school students who are interested in animals and pet care. Learn about responsible pet ownership, how shelters help communities, and finally create your own mock animal shelter. Come learn how to be an advocate for animals in our community!
